Gender Focal Person | Marange Women's Alliance (MWA)
Abigail Sibanda is the Gender Focal Person for Marange Women's Alliance (MWA) and a defender of women's rights. A holder of a Master of Science degree in Gender and Policy Studies from Great Zimbabwe University (2020), Bachelor of Science degree in Women and Gender Studies from Women's University in Africa (2014) and Diploma in Education from University of Zimbabwe (2001). She has extensive experience in community engagement for the past 6 years and teaching for the past 21 years. she is also working as the vice chairperson of Marange Development Trust a community based organization in the diamond mining area of Marange, Zimbabwe. Abigail Sibanda is a villager under headman Mkwada of Marange, Her interests include women's empowerment, social justice, social transformation, natural resource governance and community development.
