BROADCAST YOUR RIGHTS

MWA's aim and objective is to amplify a unified voice of Marange Women as a way of fighting against gender inequality, brutal abuses, harassment and violations of women and children's rights in the Mining sector. The plea of what the women and children are going through since the beginning of diamond mining activities is worrisome especially when our voices are stifled by a number of factors. The presence of women's constitutional rights in the constitution became void when those who are supposed to benefit from the rights are ignorant of their very rights. These missing gaps are opening avenues of abuse of women and children by different players in the mining sector. Marange women remain at the periphery and at the receiving end of all the negative impacts of diamond mining.
