THE CARBON ZERO, ARTISANAL AND SMALL SCALE MINING POVERTY ALLEVIATION
As leaders in our industry, we must devote time, attention, and money to do work that, in many cases, may not bear fruit for years or be easy to measure a direct value. We understand legal compliance but must strive to incorporate multiple, additional, responsible issues into our business strategy. Such strategies should carefully select issues where we believe we can make a difference, rather than those where we would simply like to. Collaboration for good is the key for our industry’s reputational growth. I believe that it is about more than Sustainability at our companies, but truly about the future Sustainability of our companies.
