MINING IN THE DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF CONGO
The focus of my interventions will be the difficulties in mining in the DRC. This will cover the challenges experienced by both large scale and artisanal mining operations. The difficulty in developing the downstream and/or refiner business case to engage in the legal artisanal gold trade. Along with the difficulties in implementing due diligence so that it can meet stakeholder expectations.
